Ricky Nierva did a lot of great designs for different Pixar films. Right now quite a bit of his work is on display, here in Amsterdam at the Pixar: 25 years of animation exhibition. And I’m one of the few lucky people who is gonna be a tour guide there, how cool is that?! If you happen to be in Amsterdam, check it out, it is awesome!

Bastard Samurai, pin-up by Dave Johnson.
Bastard Samurai is a 3-issue miniseries (published in 2003) created by Michael Avon Oeming, with co-author Miles Gunter and pencils by Kelsey Shannon. Pick it up if you get the chance, it’s a bit weird but extremely cool; it features some radical drawn sword fights!

Star Wars 80’s High School, by Denis Medri.
Italian comic artist Denis Medri did this whole series of Star Wars as if set on a 1980’s High School. Awesome stuff! Can you recognize these scenes?
